Why locals keep one number on the fridge
Most of our work comes from repeat customers and their neighbours. They call because a real person answers the phone, the van shows up on time, and the price lands on paper before a tool comes out of the bag.
No hourly rates creeping upward, no "we'll have to come back next week", no surprises on the invoice. Just a licensed plumber in a stocked van, ready to fix the problem on the first visit.
Water where it shouldn't be? Call now.
A burst pipe, a drain backing up, a hot water system leaking through the ceiling. When it's happening right now, don't wait for a callback. Speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine. Real humans answer the phone, day or night, and we're on-site fast.
Call (02) 9072 0528. Licensed plumber, not a machine.
Cammeray homes
Federation homes and clay drains on the Cammeray ridge
This suburb was once known as "Suspension Bridge", named after the historic Long Gully Bridge that still carries traffic toward Northbridge. That heritage shows up in our plumbing work every week.
The pre-1940 stock. The Federation homes and Californian bungalows on the ridge streets were laid with earthenware clay sewer and stormwater lines that are now well past their service life and prone to cracking on the sandstone slopes.
The canopy above them. Mature street trees lining streets like Amherst and Palmer push roots into those ageing clay drains. The result is the two faults we see most: blocked drains from root intrusion, and sudden burst pipes as old pipework deteriorates.
Knowing the housing stock means we diagnose faster and quote accurately the first time.
What we do
Every service, sorted into four guides
Whatever is going wrong, it fits under one of four headings. Each card below opens a full guide to that side of the trade, with every specific service linked underneath.
Emergency plumbing for the jobs that can't wait until morning: an overflowing toilet, the hot water gone cold, a suspected gas leak, plus burst pipes and blocked drains.
General plumbing for the everyday and the planned: residential plumbing, maintenance plumbing, toilet repairs, toilet installation, bathroom plumbing, kitchen plumbing, tap repairs, shower repairs, leak detection, water filters, appliance installation and backflow testing.
Drainage for everything below the floor: repairs and new lines, blocked drains, sewer blockages, stormwater, camera inspections and pipe relining.
Hot water for repairs, replacements and new systems: repairs, replacements, installations, plus guides to gas, electric and instant units.
Not sure which service you need?
Call and tell us what is going on. A licensed plumber will point you the right way and price the job before we start.
Local knowledge that matters
What the seasons do to Cammeray pipes
The suburb's calendar writes our job sheet. Summer humidity and storm activity drive drainage demand, as intense Sydney downpours overload the older stormwater lines on the harbourside slopes around Tunks Park and Primrose Park.
Autumn. Leaf fall from the mature street canopy clogs gutters and drains across the ridge.
Winter. Cold snaps prompt hot water callouts, and the long-held period homes and mid-century walk-up flats around Miller Street often run hot water units well beyond their lifespan.
Then there's the slope itself. The suburb falls steeply from its ridge toward Long Bay and Middle Harbour, so stormwater and surface runoff management is a recurring concern on the lower streets, where flow and debris concentrate.
If your side gate floods every heavy rain, that's a problem with a fix, not a fact of life, and our stormwater page explains it.
Emergency plumbing: when it can't wait
Some jobs won't wait until Monday. A toilet overflowing across the bathroom floor, no hot water with a house full of guests, a suspected gas leak smelling up the kitchen: these need a licensed plumber on the phone now, not a voicemail.
Day or night, we answer
Then we quote
What we see most after dark here
General plumbing: the everyday, done properly
Plumbing is mostly unglamorous: a tap that won't stop dripping, a drain that's slowed, a shower gone weak, a renovation that needs doing right. Our general plumbing work covers the lot, from bathroom plumbing to kitchen plumbing.
Tap and shower work
The jobs people forget to plan
Long-established homes on the gas-reticulated Lower North Shore often retain dated gas fittings needing upgrade during renovations, and we sort those too. Regular maintenance plumbing visits catch the small faults before they become the 2am ones.
Drainage: everything below the floor
Drainage is where this suburb's age shows most. The pre-1940 housing stock still relies heavily on original earthenware clay drains that crack and leak with age, and the heavy street-tree canopy keeps pushing roots into them.
Our drainage work starts with proper diagnosis: a CCTV drain inspection that shows us exactly what's in the pipe and where. From there, the right fix follows the evidence.
Clear it
Fix it for good
Replace it properly
Hot water: repairs, replacements and honest advice
Hot water trouble announces itself either gradually or all at once: lukewarm showers and creeping bills one month, water across the floor the next.
Repair or replace, honestly assessed
Choosing a new unit
Ageing hot water units in the suburb's older houses and flats are among our most frequent replacement jobs, so we know which units suit the local gas and power setups.

What locals tell us
What locals say
1000+ five-star reviews
Sydney homeowners have rated us five stars more than a thousand times, and plenty of that comes from right here in the neighbourhood.
What reviews keep coming back to. The plumber who arrived when promised, the invoice that matched the quote to the dollar, the drain cleared on the first visit instead of the third.
We don't do the hard sell and we don't do surprise invoices, and locals notice. In the community, for the community.
The crew behind the badge
We're a local plumbing crew, not a call centre. Our plumbers work out of the area around the clock, which is why the van that reaches you has usually just finished a job a few streets away.
Licence on every quote. Our licence number, #275278C, appears on every quote and invoice, and every plumber who knocks on your door carries it. We back the work for life because we plan on being around the corner for a long time yet.

Good questions, straight answers
Questions Cammeray locals ask
What does it cost to have you come out?
Nothing at all, because the call out is free and you get the full price in writing before we start, so you only ever pay for work you have approved.
Are your plumbers properly licensed?
Yes, the whole team works under licence #275278C with full insurance behind every job, and the compliance paperwork that protects your home is sorted each time.
Can you unblock drains laid with old clay pipes?
Yes, clay and earthenware drains in the pre-1940 homes around Amherst and Palmer Street are cleared, camera-checked and, where needed, relined in place with no excavation required.
Do you handle stormwater problems on sloping blocks?
Yes, we diagnose and repair stormwater lines on the steep fall from the ridge toward Long Bay, where heavy rain concentrates flow in the lower drains.
How quickly can you get here in an emergency?
We're based minutes from your door and answer at any hour, so help arrives quickly rather than after a long drive across the city.
Do you replace hot water systems on weekends?
Yes, nights and weekends cost the same as weekdays here, with no overtime loading, so a failed unit can be repaired or replaced whenever it lets you down.
What areas do you service?
We cover this suburb plus Crows Nest, Northbridge, North Sydney, Naremburn and Cremorne, and the van reaching you has usually just left a job nearby.
Is your workmanship guaranteed?
Yes, every job carries our Lifetime Labour Warranty, so if anything isn't right we return and make it good at no cost to you.
Can you fix a burst flexi hose in an apartment?
Yes, a burst braided hose under a renovated sink or vanity is one of the most common after-hours callouts we attend, and the van carries the parts to fix it on the spot. For more answers, our FAQ page goes deeper.
